Actors are given a series of commercial sides in advance of the workshop, but are also invited to bring specific sides they would like to work on. Jeb will use the sides as a the material for taking actors through a practical workout that will provide a real sense of understanding and confidence in the work
“Commercial Acting is acting under specific circumstance: SALES. Acting is telling the STORY, while Sales is PRODUCT plus PITCH. It is imperative to know your SELF, know the STORY, know the PRODUCT, and know the PITCH. In doing so, you will be an actor immersed in the role; the “role” is playing the story of the product and the pitch because that is what the client will ultimately hire. “
Jeb Beach - Co-Founder of the Actor’s Foundry - brings both acting and sales to his extensive knowledge of commercial acting. Combining a degree in business and a dozen years in sales and marketing with his stage, film and TV credits, Jeb has carved himself a substantial career in commercial acting with his specific and effective commercial acting technique. With sixteen commercials booked in the last two years alone Jeb is considered to be one of Vancouver’s top commercial actors. A few of Jeb’s recent clients include: FUTURE SHOP, JEEP, SHAW, CASTROL OIL, COMCAST, BOSTON PIZZA, and NINTENDO.
